Targets
The numbers Today and Reports check you against: food cost, money off and the day close limit, for the brand and for each outlet.
A target is the number a figure should stay inside. Today and Reports show each figure against its target, so you can see at a glance what needs you.
The three targets
| Target | What it checks | Built in |
|---|---|---|
| Food cost | Food cost should stay under this percent of the dine-in price. | 32% |
| Money off | Money off (comps and discounts) should stay under this percent of sales. | 3% |
| Close limit | The day close can be off by up to this many rupees. | ₹100 |
Brand targets
Open Organisation → Brand and press Change targets. Brand targets apply to every outlet, unless an outlet sets its own. Leave a box empty to use the built-in number.
Outlet targets
An outlet can have its own targets. Open the outlet’s page, go to the Billing tab and find Targets. Each target shows where its number comes from: Set for this outlet, Brand value or Maska default. Leave a field empty to use the brand’s value.
Who can change them
Only the owner (an organisation admin) can change targets. Everyone else sees them but cannot change them.
Where you see them
- Today: money off for the day is shown against the money off target, and each outlet’s close chip reads Over limit when the last close was off by more than the close limit. That close also shows under Needs you.
- Reports: the close ledger counts the closes over the limit.
- Menu: each dish’s food cost is shown against the food cost target.
