The kitchen’s recipe builder lets you describe a dish and have Basanti draft the recipe — its ingredients and quantities — which you then review and refine. As you build, it shows the live cost of the recipe from your current stock prices.
This lives in the kitchen Recipes area. Build a recipe by hand, or let Basanti draft it from a description and edit from there.

Drafting a recipe

1

Describe the dish

Give Basanti the dish and roughly what goes into it. She drafts a recipe — ingredients matched to your items (or sub-recipes), with quantities.
2

Review and adjust

Check each ingredient, quantity, and any waste percentage. Swap items, change amounts, or remove lines. Unmatched ingredients are flagged so nothing is silently dropped.
3

Save

Save the recipe to your masters. It can then be produced in the kitchen and used wherever recipes drive costing.

Live costing

As the recipe takes shape, its cost rolls up from your current per-item prices — including nested sub-recipes — so you see the batch cost and per-portion cost while you edit, not after.
When a leaf ingredient has no price yet, it’s marked as unpriced so you know the cost is partial rather than wrong.

Good to know

Review-first

AI drafts; you decide. Nothing is saved until you confirm the recipe.

Monthly allowance

AI drafting draws on your workspace’s monthly AI allowance, with a per-tenant cap. Building a recipe by hand is always free.
